Kawau Island Was AWESOME

WALT: summarise a week long experience into a recount.
This year the year 6 students went on a journey to a beautiful island called kawau island. We were informed that we were going to stay on the island for 4 days. I was sad and excited at the same time, missing my family made me sad and going on camp made me happy. Us lucky students had fun playing games like volleyball,cricket and softball I did not want this moment to end.  

When we reached sandspit everybody was really happy that we had arrived on time. As time passed we stopped for lunch, and later on we packed our bags onto the boat. After sometime we got the opportunity to spend time with our friends and relax near the water.  It was still very exciting.

As the year 6 students pulled up at Kawau Island on the ferry,’’we all sang our school haka’’. Emmanuel started off with the first part and then we all sang the song. Our voices were strong that haka got louder, and louder.When the haka ended everybody had sore voices.   As we got closer and closer, everybody was really excited that we had finally got to Kawau Island.

When we got off the boat we had to unload the bags.After that we went for a hike around the island.It was tiring,but cool at the same time. We went to a beach and when we got there we were playing bullrush. It was delightful.  We were playing with Mr Jacobson. Then we had to go back to camp. We all had to walk back up the hills again’’, it was like my legs were going to break’’. We got to camp and we met Peter and Erin they were so nice.We had to pack our bags in our cabins.

My favourite activity was the confident course and kayaking to stingray bay. The thing that I liked about going to kawau Island was finding out about different animals that lived on the Island.I wish that I lived on Kawau Island because Kawau Island is cool and interesting.I had so much fun at Kawau Island, but the thing I loved about going to the Island was having fun with my friends.

What is Adaptation?

WALT: Defined Adaptation

The process of change by which an organism or species becomes better suited to its environment.


Finding resources to survive like food and water. For example polar bears adapts in Antarctica,it is camouflage in snow so predators don't see it.When polar bears swims they get dried really fast when it gets out of the water.Also the polar bears feet has grip to hold on to the ice.



             
Polar Bears had thick blubber to help them keep warm.Polar bears dig dens to protected them selves from cold winds.

Fear Factor

WALT:think about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.
Disgusting,Did they really eat frog eggs and pond water.Well that would be really gross and Disgusting who would ever eat that, Well today Mr Goodwin said ‘’that we are having a Fear factor’’.Everybody was really shocked because Mr Goodwin said that the challengers were going to eat food that human are not suppose to eat but he was just joking.

2. Body Paragraph 1	Mr Goodwin picked the challengers they were Christian,Hosea,Rima and Inez,they had to eat frog eggs and pond water, but it was just baked beans and kiwifruit juice
3. Body Paragraph 2	Then He got the food that they had to eat, Then they ate and the first person who ate it all was rima,but she didn't swallow the food in her mouth and
4. Body Paragraph 3	He said the first person to eat the whole cup wins and gets a free mousse?Then they ate and the first person who ate it all was rima,but she didn't swallow the food in her mouth and so Christian won,But it was just another one of Mr Goodwin’s tricks?
5. Conclusion	What I think about the fear factor challenge

I have learn't how to write my purpose and plaining my recount and making it interesting.What the task was about was to plan and recount with one purpose.

Online Zoo

Yay it’s time to go to the zoo.It is going to be so awesome going to the zoo becasue there is different animals there,But our calss is going on a virtual zoo were we have to look on a site that tells us about the animals that live in San Diego Zoo.We had to use our chromebooks using the internet?

Term 3 Was Awesome

My Favourite thing this term was playing sports and also having the market day.I had a lot if fun with my friends and even with my Lovely,beautiful and handsome teachers. I just want to say to my teachers Miss Lavakula,Mr Somerville and Mr Goodwin that you have been Great teachers this term and also have a great Holiday. Love from Lani.
